Provisional Agenda for 41st Plenary of British Irish Parliamentary Assembly - Isle of Man, 22-23 November

The 41st Plenary of the British-Irish Parliamentary Assembly will take place from Monday 22nd - Tuesday 23rd November, at the Villa Marina, Douglas, Isle of Man.

This is the first occasion that the Assembly will meet in the Isle of Man, and the plenary will be formally addressed by the Chief Minister, Mr Tony Brown, on Monday morning.

The plenary will debate the Saville Report on Bloody Sunday that was published in June and will also be addressed by the new Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Owen Paterson MP. There will also be a discussion on how investment in and support for tourism can contribute to economic recovery.

The provisional agenda is as follows:

Monday 22nd November - 2.30pm - 5.30pm:

•Address by Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Rt Hon Owen Paterson MP
•A Bill of Rights for Northern Ireland
•The Irish Community in Britain

Tuesday 23rd November - 9am - 12.25pm

•Tourism and Economic Recovery, Niall Gibbons, CEO of Tourism Ireland
•The British-Irish Assembly and the British-Irish Council
•Business reports from Committees - British Isles Economic Space; The Recession and Migrant Workers
