The landmark 50th plenary session, which marked 25 years of BIPA, took place in the Seanad Chamber in Leinster House and in Croke Park on 23 and 24 February. Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD delivered the opening address before a later speech by Minister Donohoe on the role of sport and reconciliation. The Assembly Members then moved on to the Garden of Remembrance and Croke Park.
The plenary session also saw the publication of reports on the European Investment Bank and cross-border police cooperation and illicit trade. Day two included a speech by Prof John Coakley on BIPA, 25 years on.

It follows a successful 49th plenary session in Kent in October 2014. The itinerary included a day trip to World War One Memorial sites in Flanders. View photos of the visit. The second day's formal Plenary session back in Kent saw the appointment of new Irish Co-Chair Frank Feighan TD and reports calling for an exemption of the HGV levy for the A5 and on Travellers, Roma and Gypsy accommodation.
